Downeast Nanny Services will find your family a qualified and nurturing nanny.We are a referral agency not the nanny's employer. Downeast nanny will provide a contract between the family and nanny..Once a nanny is placed with your family, it's important to understand that they are considered a household employee. As the employer, you have certain responsibilities, including managing their payroll. Here at Downeast Nanny, we want to ensure that you have all the information you need to navigate this aspect of employing a nanny.

 

Payroll Responsibilities for Employing a Nanny:

1. Withholding Taxes: As an employer, you will be responsible for withholding and remitting taxes on behalf of your nanny. This includes federal income tax, state income tax, Social Security tax, and Medicare tax.

 

2. Tax Filings: You will need to file tax forms on a regular basis, such as Form 941 (Employer's Quarterly Federal Tax Return) and Schedule H (Household Employment Taxes), to report the wages paid to your nanny and the associated taxes.

 

3. W-2 Forms: At the end of each calendar year, you must provide your nanny with a Form W-2 (Wage and Tax Statement), which outlines their wages and taxes withheld during the year. This form is necessary for them to file their personal income tax return.

 

4. Record-Keeping: It's important to maintain accurate records of your nanny's wages, taxes withheld, and any other relevant information. This will help ensure compliance with tax and labor laws and assist in the event of an audit.

Referral Fees of 350.00 are due prior to our meet and greets with your potential nanny.These

Placement fees:

 

Our one time 10 %  placement fees are due upon the contract signing.

Agreement :

 

The family agrees not to enter into any private arrangements with the nanny or take any action that is inconsistent with this agreement or that would avoid the family's responsibility here. This includes actions that would enable the family or any other family to avoid any payments of the placement fees owed to Downeast Nanny Services.Presuming the family intentionally refers the nanny's name to another family ,who  hires the nanny the family is liable to Downeast Nanny Services for damages and losses made.

 

Release:

 

The family hereby releases Downeast Nanny Services  from all claims and causes of action, including claims resulting from the negligence of Downeast Nanny Services and its employees.The family acknowledges that Downeast Nanny Services is a referral service only and shall not be responsible for any damages caused by a nanny referred to the family. The family agrees to compensate and hold Downeast Nanny Services harmless from any claims of any nature that the nanny may have incurred to the family.Downeast Nanny Services determines, at its absolute authority, that the nanny is being biased to exploitative conditions in the family's household, the nanny may end there contract the family.Placements fees will not be refunded.
